Funding from the City of Kansas City Helps Local Family with Autistic Child

Katherine is a single mom of two sons, including one who is severely autistic. Her son has damaged walls, windows, and doors throughout their Kansas City mobile home. This damage was not only unsightly, but a very real danger to the boy.

Thanks to funding from the City of Kansas City, Rebuilding Together was able to help! Our crews installed a plexiglass product over the walls in the son’s room that he can’t kick through. In addition, we installed a new door, installed fire detectors, replaced a broken window, and provided fire extinguishers – all of which will help keep the family safe.

We are grateful for the support of funders like the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Would you consider joining in our work? Reach out today to find out how you can become a [Re]builder!
