[Re]Builders Make All the Difference for Those in Need

A [Re]Builder is someone who joins and supports the efforts of Rebuilding Together to repair, revitalize, and rebuild Kansas City homes and neighborhoods. Here are just a few examples of how businesses in our community are furthering the work of Rebuilding Together Kansas City:

– Volunteers from Farmers Insurance helped to clean-up and remodel the BTC Community Center.

– Christian Brothers Roofing donated a roof for a family in need.

– Rebuilding Together Kansas City was a grant recipient of community impact funds from Meta’s new Kansas City data center.

In addition, the City of Kansas City included funds for Rebuilding Together Kansas City in its upcoming fiscal budget, helping us to expand our work in the city. Thank you to these and so many others who support us throughout the year!

Rebuilding Day 2025 is Right Around the Corner

In just a few months we’ll embark on one of our biggest days of the year: Rebuilding Day. Rebuilding Day is a one-day project blitz that mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to complete critical repairs and safety modifications across the community.

Rebuilding Day will be held on Saturday, September 20, and we have the goal of repairing and/or modifying 30 homes in our community. Will you join us? When you, your business, or your organization sponsors a site, you show people in need that there are people who really care. Plan now to join us!

Rebuilding Together Kansas City is Repairing Homes and Rebuilding Lives

Rebuilding Together Kansas City changes lives every day. From helping our low-income neighbors fix water issues in their homes, to replacing a HVAC system or a roof, to increasing accessibility for those with mobility issues, Rebuilding Together is making possible what most people take for granted: a safe, healthy home.

“How do I keep a roof over my and my children’s heads if it is literally falling down,” asked one client. But after Rebuilding Together Kansas City’s help, she’s not only in her home, but thriving there. “I feel like we might actually be able to keep our home, and that is pretty exciting!”

RTKC’s 2025 “Dream in Color” Gala is Huge Success

On April 26th, the sold out crowd at Rebuilding Together Kansas City’s 2025 Gala helped to make dreams come true! Together with participants of the event’s online auction, supporters raised over half a million dollars for the important work of Rebuilding Together Kansas City! These funds will help ensure Rebuilding Together Kansas City is able to serve more neighbors in need this coming year.

Thank you to those who served on the Gala Committee, to our underwriters and table sponsors, and to all those who participated in the live and silent auctions. We are grateful for you!

RTKC’s Fall Prevention Services Saves Lives

The services of Rebuilding Together Kansas City include safety and accessibility modifications that help individuals, seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities navigate their own homes securely. This critical work not only helps our clients stay in their homes for as long as possible, it also helps prevent costly injuries and even death.

According to the National Safety Council, 16 out of every 100 people are injured while at home. Out of the injuries that result in death, 25% are related to falls. That’s why handrails, grab bars, transfer benches, vertical rails, ramps, and other modifications are so important.
