The Opus Group and Hallmark Partner to Support RTKC

The Opus Group, a commercial real estate developer, recently worked with Hallmark to build its new distribution center. Part of this project included an effort to give back to the community and make it a better place to live, work, play, and raise a family. As a result of its collaboration with Hallmark, The Opus Foundation granted $40,000 to three Liberty-area nonprofits, including Rebuilding Together Kansas City.

“Because care for the community is not only a principle of our corporate responsibility, but also a value of Hallmark’s, that direction from the top enabled [us] to give back to Liberty in meaningful ways,” said Joe Downs, Opus Foundation Board Director.

Thank you to both the Opus Foundation and Hallmark for your commitment to our work!

Join Us on September 21 for Rebuilding Day 2024

Rebuilding Day is the flagship program of Rebuilding Together Kansas City. It’s a one-day project blitz that mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to complete critical repairs and safety modifications across the community. In 2023, we were able to fix 16 homes in a single day with the support of our generous partners and volunteers. We have a goal of 25 homes this year, but we need your support!

Will you join us? Choose a crew leader and get your group of volunteers registered. Site sponsors are also needed. Contact Scott Hickox today to get started on your path to becoming a [Re]builder! Learn more here.

Looking Toward the Future: Rebuilding Together Kansas City is [Re]imagining the Possibilities

Rebuilding Together Kansas City currently serves over 150 families each year, primarily in Clay and Platte counties. Moving forward, we have our sights set on greater things: greater impact, greater numbers of neighbors served, greater circles of those we call partners.

Rebuilding Together Kansas City’s staff and Board of Directors have developed a strategic plan for 2024-2026 that will lead Rebuilding Together Kansas City into the future. From increasing staff capacity to cultivating new corporate partnerships to increasing the number of homes we repair annually, we’re looking at a bright future for our organization, those we serve, those we partner with, and those we have yet to reach.
