Stewart Title Breathes New Life Into Local Home

Stewart Title is committed to ensuring a better home for all. On Wednesday, November 15, that commitment took new life when employees converged on a local home and provided it a much needed facelift. After their day of volunteer service, the home looked like new again!

“Thank you so much for making the day so fun,” said Katie Holtman, Stewart Title’s project coordinator. “It was such a pleasure to meet and work alongside you all!”

This project was part of Stewart Title’s national partnership with Rebuilding Together, and the company’s commitment to give back to the communities where its employees work and serve. Learn more about Stewart Title’s commitment here.

NAP Credits Maximize the Benefits of Your Giving

Rebuilding Together Kansas City is transforming lives in the Northland by helping our most vulnerable neighbors stay in their homes. We are ensuring that low-income families, seniors, veterans, and those living with disabilities have homes that are warm, safe, and secure. We do this by making needed accessibility modifications and completing critical repairs; and, we are able to do this in an incredibly cost-effective and efficient way. In fact, for every $1 spent on our services, there is a projected $2.84 value returned in the form of improved health, increased safety, maintained independence, and cost savings – that is a 184% return on investment!

You have the unique opportunity to not only support the work of Rebuilding Together Kansas City, but to do it in a way that benefits your business through Missouri’s Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits. Thanks to Rebuilding Together Kansas City’s participation in this program, eligible donors can receive a tax credit equaling 50% of your charitable contribution, on top of claiming the donation on your itemized deductions. You receive a tax benefit, and we are able to help more neighbors in need. It’s a win-win situation!

If you would like more information on how your business can partner with us through this program, contact Scott Hickox at scott@rebuildingtogetherkc.org.

(Please note that our NAP credits are limited and available on a first come, first served basis for donors willing to invest at least $1,000.)

On Saturday, October 14, Spectrum employee volunteers, Rebuilding Together Kansas City, and Beyond the Conviction united to revitalize a community center that helps some of the most disenfranchised members of our community pursue career and educational goals. Volunteers performed light construction, painting, and helped set up a new technology training center.

This project was part of Spectrum’s national partnership with Rebuilding Together that seeks to improve 100 community centers across the country by 2025. Learn more about Spectrum’s commitment here.

Rebuilding Day 2023 Mobilizes Hundreds of Volunteers in Support of Critical Home Repairs

Kansas City, MO (Sept. 16, 2023) – Rebuilding Day is Rebuilding Together’s annual flagship event – a one-day home repair blitz with hundreds of volunteers and Rebuilding Together Kansas City staff working together to transform houses into safe and healthy homes. On Saturday, September 16, volunteers converged on 16 homes throughout the community to make a difference for our neighbors in need. Throughout the day, volunteers addressed critical repairs and projects that involved homeowners’ livability and accessibility. These projects ranged from replacing porches to painting homes to replacing siding and more.

The Home Depot Partners with RTKC to Help Local Veteran

Kirk Douglas and his wife of 40 years desperately wanted to stay in the home that they raised their family in. However, after two knee replacement surgeries, Kirk required a wheelchair, and the house they have lived in for so many years did not have a ramp.

Thanks to a corporate partnership with The Home Depot, Rebuilding Together Kansas City was able to help the Douglas family stay in their home. The Home Depot not only provided volunteer labor, but provided building materials and other funding. They built a ramp, replaced a rotting porch, installed a new door and security door, and cleaned up the yard.

This is the power of corporate partnerships with Rebuilding Together Kansas City! We connect businesses and organizations seeking to make a tangible difference in the lives of others to those in need.
